At Get Equipped, we are dedicated to delivering courses that engage participants - making learning meaningful, and ensuring sessions are both informative and enjoyable. As experienced educators, we are well aware of the importance of creating a safe learning environment where participants feel safe to learn in a supportive atmosphere.
Our trainers bring real-world experience in emergency situations, with diverse backgrounds in firefighting, paramedicine, nursing, and teaching. We deliver courses at your location and tailor each one to meet your specific needs; whether that be high school students wanting to dive deeper into specific first aid topics or mining companies requiring fire courses delivered ASAP to send crews to specific mines.
Let us design and deliver your next course at a location that suits you. If you are in the Perth Metro area, we will come to you at no extra cost!
We are also one of the few approved providers by the Department of Education to deliver the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course to Government School staff. If this funding applies to you or your school, let us know and we will arrange all of the documentation and approval to equip your school.

Why we do what we do
We are passionate about fire safety and first aid education and believe that these are important life skills that everyone should know – skills that can be used by anyone, anywhere, at any time.
Our goal is to deliver the best courses in Perth and we want to make them accessible to staff and student groups in schools as well as those in workplaces. We want to empower as many people as possible to create a safer community.
Meet Ben
OWNER
For over a decade, Ben has taught high school students in Health, Physical, and Outdoor Education. Since 2020, he has served as a Career Firefighter.
He also delivers Fire Safety and First Aid education to organisations across WA, combining his teaching expertise and firefighting experience to create a truly engaging learning environment—something few trainers can offer. His ability to connect with participants ensures a fun, memorable session where key concepts are both understood and retained.
As a father of two young girls and being a foster carer, Ben knows firsthand how important it is to be prepared for the unexpected. Parenthood has made him deeply passionate about vital, life-saving first aid skills—skills that aren’t just for the workplace but are essential everywhere: at home, outdoors, and in everyday life. His goal is to equip others with the confidence and knowledge to handle emergencies, giving them the skills they need in their back pocket, ready to use when it matters most.
